Position Overview

Partnership Employment is partnered with a global chemical manufacturing company to find an experienced HR Generalist to support multiple sites across Texas and Florida. This is a great fit for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys being the go-to resource for managers and employees, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and likes the variety that comes with supporting several locations.

About the Opportunity

As the HR Generalist for a cluster of manufacturing sites, you'll be the primary point of contact for roughly 150 employees across 3 to 5 locations. You'll own everything from recruiting and onboarding to employee relations and compliance, partnering closely with site managers to keep operations running smoothly. The role includes regular travel (typically a week at a time) to visit your sites, meet with teams, and build strong on-the-ground relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the full recruiting cycle for industrial roles, often managing around 10 open reqs at a time
  • Own onboarding and offboarding across your assigned sites
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on all things HR
  • Handle employee relations, investigations, and the corrective action process
  • Manage leaves of absence and workers' compensation cases
  • Partner with site and regional managers on change management and succession planning
  • Lead employee recognition and engagement efforts
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Respond to and manage unemployment, legal, and government agency claims
  • Gather and analyze HR data to spot trends and make recommendations
  • Prepare regular reports and support special projects as needed

What We're Looking For

  • At least 3 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Multi-state HR experience is required
  • Manufacturing industry background
  • Comfortable traveling roughly 6 to 8 times per year (about a week per trip) to support sites in Houston, Dallas, Marshall, and Orlando
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus, though they're open to other HRIS backgrounds
  • Strong communication, organization, and judgment
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred; HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a nice to have

Compensation & Perks

  • Base salary up to $80K
  • Annual bonus of 7.5%
  • Benefits that start day one
  • 401(k) with company match and profit sharing
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision (PPO, HSA, FSA options)
  • Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability, plus long-term disability
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Why This Role

This is a growing, stable company with a strong culture and a team-oriented environment. You'll have real ownership over your sites and the autonomy to make an impact across the region. If you like variety, enjoy being out in the field with your teams, and want a role where no two weeks look quite the same, this one is worth a look.

The job hunt no longer rewards effort. It rewards strategy. If you have applied to dozens of roles this year and heard nothing back, the problem probably is not you. The market itself has shifted. Recruiters now see more than 300 applications for a single opening, roughly triple what they saw five years ago. The […]

Is Your Compensation Package Actually Competitive in 2026?

The headline numbers look encouraging. Nominal wages rose 4.1% year-over-year through early 2026 while inflation ran at 2.4%, the first sustained period in several years where worker pay has technically outpaced rising prices. And yet 62% of employed Americans say their income has not kept up with their household expenses, according to a Bankrate survey […]

When the Algorithm Screens Out Your Best Hire

AI in recruiting has moved from experiment to standard practice in a remarkably short window. Roughly 43% of organizations worldwide used AI for HR and recruiting tasks in 2025, up from just 26% the year before. Hiring teams cite real efficiency gains: faster resume screening, reduced time on scheduling, and broader reach across candidate pools. […]
