The Director, Operations will lead and oversee all manufacturing, engineering, warehousing & inventory, and shipping functions. This role will ensure operational excellence and efficiency across multiple sectors. The position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance productivity, ensure quality, control costs, and drive on-time delivery performance while maintaining alignment with company goals and customer expectations. Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute operational strategies to support growth and profitability objectives. • Align departmental goals with overall business strategy, ensuring consistent execution across manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, and engineering. • Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Manufacturing & Production • Lead manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, and delivery standards. • Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Engineering & Product Support • Direct engineering teams to support product development, customization, and continuous improvement. • Partner with sales and design teams to ensure manufacturability and operational feasibility of new products. • Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve product quality and reduce lead times. Warehousing, Inventory & Logistics, Distribution • Manage warehouse operations to optimize storage, handling, and distribution efficiency. • Oversee inventory control systems to maintain accuracy and minimize excess or obsolete stock. • Lead shipping, logistics, distribution teams to ensure on-time delivery performance and cost optimization. Field Services/Installation • Oversight for field services/ installation • Manage and measure the performance of field services/ installation Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all operational areas. • Implement process improvements, automation, and technology solutions to enhance operational capability. • Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous learning. People Management/Leadership • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations & fulfillment teams. • Promote cross-department collaboration and communication. • Develop talent succession plans to ensure long-term operational management and leadership. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred, not required. • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in manufacturing, fulfillment, or supply chain roles. • Proven track record in managing multi-site operations and diverse product portfolios. • Experience in restaurant, retail, education, or stainless-steel manufacturing sectors a plus. • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems. • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
