Our client, a highly respected architecture and design firm, is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer II to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished architectural professional who is passionate about designing complex multifamily and mixed-use developments while collaborating with a talented team of architects, designers, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to projects through Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
  • Develop creative and technically sound architectural solutions that align with client goals, project budgets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality construction documents and project deliverables.
  • Utilize Revit and BIM technologies to develop and coordinate building models.
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultants throughout the design process.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination, and construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, field observations, and design clarifications.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide technical leadership within project teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior architects to maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate design alternatives, construction methods, and material selections to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail while delivering coordinated, accurate project documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Strong experience designing multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, or large-scale residential developments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and permitting processes.
  • Experience leading technical design efforts and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (required)
  • AutoCAD
  • Lumion
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office
  • Experience with BIM coordination and project documentation
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mid-rise, high-rise, and mixed-use residential developments.
  • Strong consultant coordination experience across structural, MEP, civil, and landscape disciplines.
  • Experience participating in construction administration and field coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to technical leadership.
  • Professional licensure or progress toward architectural registration is a plus.
