About the Opportunity

Our client, an innovative and growing organization in the energy industry, is seeking an AI Developer to help design and implement next-generation AI solutions that improve business operations and decision-making across the enterprise.

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI initiatives involving Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI, and enterprise system integrations. You'll collaborate with business leaders, software engineers, and data professionals to build intelligent applications that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Build prompt-based AI solutions that automate business workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and multi-agent AI architectures.
  • Develop and maintain API-driven microservices that expose AI capabilities across enterprise applications.
  • Integrate AI solutions with business systems supporting operations, knowledge management, and transactional workflows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
  • Assist in developing and curating datasets for model improvement and fine-tuning.
  • Optimize prompts, embeddings, and AI workflows to improve response quality and reduce hallucinations.
  • Work closely with software developers, data engineers, and business teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Document architectures, APIs, and development standards while following security and governance best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications, enterprise software, or distributed systems.
  • Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering.
  • Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts and vector embeddings.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C#, with experience developing scalable applications.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions into enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Azure OpenAI, or similar enterprise AI platforms.
  • Familiarity with vector databases and semantic search technologies.
  • Experience deploying AI applications in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • AI/ML, cloud, or data engineering certifications are a plus.
  • GitHub portfolio or personal AI projects are highly encouraged.
