Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

Location: The Woodlands, TX
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Compensation: $115,000–$135,000 base salary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Build and maintain data models, reporting environments, and IoT data solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize SQL code, ETL processes, and reporting applications.
• Partner with business users to gather reporting requirements and deliver meaningful analytics.
• Develop dashboards and reports that improve operational and business decision-making.
• Ensure database integrity, security, and optimal system performance.
• Identify and resolve data quality, reconciliation, and reporting issues.
• Perform data validation, audits, and integrity checks across enterprise systems.
• Maintain documentation, data inventories, and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and business initiatives.
• Protect confidential company information and follow established data governance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience developing Business Intelligence and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience building data models and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting IoT or operational data environments.
• Experience with Power BI or other modern visualization platforms.
• Exposure to cloud data technologies is a plus.
• Personal GitHub projects or a portfolio showcasing BI or data engineering work is highly encouraged.
