• Provide leadership across budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial performance management

• Partner closely with operational leaders to improve visibility and decision support

• Develop, coach, and mentor finance staff while creating stronger team alignment and accountability

• Evaluate and improve financial systems, reporting infrastructure, and workflows

• Help build a collaborative, service-oriented finance function

Ideal Background

• Progressive leadership experience across accounting and finance

• Experience leading teams and developing finance talent

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capabilities

• Experience operating in complex, multi-department organizations

• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and build structure

• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, community-based, human services, education, grant-funded, or similarly complex operating environments is attractive but not required

• CPA or advanced degree is welcomed but not required

The job hunt no longer rewards effort. It rewards strategy. If you have applied to dozens of roles this year and heard nothing back, the problem probably is not you. The market itself has shifted. Recruiters now see more than 300 applications for a single opening, roughly triple what they saw five years ago. The […]

Is Your Compensation Package Actually Competitive in 2026?

The headline numbers look encouraging. Nominal wages rose 4.1% year-over-year through early 2026 while inflation ran at 2.4%, the first sustained period in several years where worker pay has technically outpaced rising prices. And yet 62% of employed Americans say their income has not kept up with their household expenses, according to a Bankrate survey […]
