Staff Accountant

Partnership Employment is looking for a Staff Accountant to help our DFW based client for a 3-6 month contract engagement. This is a fully remote role offering an hourly rate up to $40/hr. Ths role will assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. 

Core Responsibilities

• AP/AR, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and payroll journal review and approval for assigned locations
• Grant compliance monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting across varied grantor requirements
• Monthly financial statements and general ledger adjusting journal entries
• Budget preparation and variance analysis (actual vs. budget) for assigned offices
• Month-end close, including payroll data entry into grant reconciliation worksheets
• Audit preparation and support (internal and external)
• Communication and issue resolution with location contacts, many of whom are not finance professionals

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliation, and month-end close experience
• Grant accounting experience preferred 
• Nonprofit experience is a plus but not required; you must be willing and able to learn the grant structure quickly
• ERP proficiency required
• A degree is not a dealbreaker - relevant experience is what matters most
• Must be based in the DFW metro (remote day-to-day, with occasional in-office meetings)
• Strong communicator who can work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
