Position Overview

We are recruiting on a confidential basis for a well established Dallas business law boutique seeking an experienced Civil/Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant. The firm represents businesses and executives in high-stakes commercial disputes and has been repeatedly recognized both for the quality of its litigation practice and for its workplace culture. This is a working litigation desk supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-moving, high-standards environment.

The client is a national award winner and has been named to multiple "best places to work" lists.

What You Will Do

  • Independently draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and correspondence
  • Handle state and federal e-filing, including TexFile/eFileTexas and PACER/CM-ECF
  • Manage calendaring, deadlines, and case files across multiple attorneys
  • Prepare TOCs and TOAs
  • Support trial preparation, including trial notebooks, exhibit organization, and courtroom support

What You Need

  • Minimum 5 years as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal
  • At least 3 of those years specifically in commercial litigation, meaning breach of contract, business torts, commercial fraud, trade secret and non-compete matters, corporate governance disputes, complex construction disputes, or commercial-level employment disputes
  • Confirmed Texas state and federal e-filing experience
  • Ability to draft substantive documents with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Please note the practice area requirement is firm. Backgrounds concentrated in personal injury, plaintiff-side mass tort or class action, insurance defense, high-volume workers' compensation, family law, criminal defense, or immigration are not a match for this particular role.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a recognized Dallas commercial litigation firm or an AmLaw firm litigation group
  • Appellate e-filing experience
  • NetDocuments or Clio proficiency
  • Stable tenure history, which this firm weights heavily

Schedule and Location

Fully in-person, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, in Uptown Dallas. Work from home eligibility begins after 6 months, up to 3 days per month with attorney approval.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Up to $95,000 depending on experience
  • 100% employer paid individual health insurance, with dental and vision options
  • Matching 401(k)
  • Employer paid short term disability and life insurance
  • Paid parking and on-site gym access
  • Professional development support

Your Best Candidate Is Not on the Job Boards Right Now

The senior accountant you need is not refreshing Indeed. The HR director who could reshape your team is not polishing a resume.
