Position Overview

HRIS Analyst

Dallas, TX | Direct Hire | $90K - $130K+ 15-20% Bonus

About the Opportunity

A well-established, highly respected real estate development firm in Dallas is adding a dedicated HRIS Analyst to its HR team. This is a newly created role driven by company growth. You'll be stepping into a function the team has never had before and shaping it from day one.

This is an individual contributor role on a small, tight-knit HR team where the average tenure is 8-10+ years. If you want real ownership of systems and data without a layer of management between you and the work, this is built for you.

What You'll Own

  • Serve as the team's go-to systems expert for the HCM platform (UKG), including configuration, administration, and ongoing optimization
  • Partner directly with department managers to understand their pain points and design and implement solutions - this is a relationship-driven role, not a back-office ticket queue
  • Lead and support a Benefits Hub launch (kickoff this summer, live for open enrollment this fall)
  • Play a key role in evaluating and implementing a new compensation system
  • Build dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analytics that give HR and leadership real-time visibility into the data that matters
  • Identify inefficiencies in current HR processes and proactively bring (and build) solutions - no one needs to ask you to look for these
  • Own AI and automation initiatives within HR systems; the team has ideas but no dedicated owner to drive them yet

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on HRIS/HCM systems experience — UKG experience is a plus, not a requirement, if you have comparable platform depth (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, etc.) and can ramp quickly
  • A configurator, not a data-entry operator - you should be the person who builds and fixes the engine, not someone who just enters records into it
  • Strong reporting and analytics skills, including advanced Excel and BI/reporting tools
  • A naturally curious, proactive problem-solver who notices what's broken before being told
  • Comfort and genuine interest in being an individual contributor - growth here is horizontal (new projects, new exposure) rather than a path into people management
  • Confidence and warmth in equal measure - you should be able to walk into a room as the systems expert without coming across as a know-it-all
  • Interest in AI/automation tools is a strong plus

Why This Role

  • Compensation: Competitive base with a 15-20% annual bonus that has historically always paid out
  • Stability: An established company with remarkably long employee tenure across the HR team
  • Real ownership: You'll drive meaningful initiatives (Benefits Hub, compensation systems, AI) from day one, not just maintain what already exists
  • Culture: A collaborative, down-to-earth team that genuinely enjoys working together - schedule includes flexibility for hybrid work once ramped up, though most of the team chooses to come in because they like the environment
  • Growth: Deep horizontal exposure across HR systems, benefits, compensation, and emerging AI initiatives

Job Search Strategies for 2026: How to Get Hired in an AI-Driven Market

The job hunt no longer rewards effort. It rewards strategy. If you have applied to dozens of roles this year and heard nothing back, the problem probably is not you. The market itself has shifted. Recruiters now see more than 300 applications for a single opening, roughly triple what they saw five years ago. The […]

Is Your Compensation Package Actually Competitive in 2026?

The headline numbers look encouraging. Nominal wages rose 4.1% year-over-year through early 2026 while inflation ran at 2.4%, the first sustained period in several years where worker pay has technically outpaced rising prices. And yet 62% of employed Americans say their income has not kept up with their household expenses, according to a Bankrate survey […]

When the Algorithm Screens Out Your Best Hire

AI in recruiting has moved from experiment to standard practice in a remarkably short window. Roughly 43% of organizations worldwide used AI for HR and recruiting tasks in 2025, up from just 26% the year before. Hiring teams cite real efficiency gains: faster resume screening, reduced time on scheduling, and broader reach across candidate pools. […]
